The 2022 Estate Barbera from Twin Rocks Estate Winery—a bold expression of the varietal that captivates the senses! This vibrant red boasts rich aromas of dark cherries and plums, complemented by hints of spice and earthiness. On the palate, it delivers a luscious mouthfeel with well-balanced acidity and velvety tannins, making it the perfect companion for savory dishes or a cozy evening by the fire. Experience the essence of the estate in every sip!
This 2023 Syrah from high up in the Sierra Foothills greets you with expressive aromas of blackberry compote, ripe black cherry, and a subtle thread of blueberry. Underlying those fruit notes are elegant touches of violet blossom and peppered smoke, a nod to the varietal’s Rhône-style roots. The new French oak aging adds a delicate layer of vanilla bean, baking spice (clove and nutmeg), and cedar box, enhancing complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
On the palate the wine is lush and inviting, yet refined. The fruit core is rich — dark plum, bramble-berry and cassis — framed by smooth, fine-grained tannins that give structure without heaviness. Bright acidity lifts the mid-palate, adding freshness and drive. As the finish unfolds you’ll sense a thread of black pepper, licorice root and warm graphite, anchored by a lingering hint of toasted oak and dark cocoa. The long, polished finish invites another sip.
This Syrah pairs beautifully with roasted duck breast with cherry-port glaze, grilled skirt steak with cracked pepper, or smoked eggplant and roasted red pepper ragù
